Emerging Artistic Talent

Emerging Artistic Talent (EAT) is a non-profit organisation set up to raise the profile, and promote the development and growth of the creative industries. We do this by providing opportunities for emerging and early career artists to exhibit and perform and through large-scale local audience development.

Specifically, this currently involves:

• Developing and delivering the EAT Southampton event
• Running a monthly artists market
• Organising international youth artistic exchanges
• Brokering artistic commissions

In May 2006 we held the first EAT Festival in Southampton. The Artists Market was an integral part of the event, and, with the help and support of Southampton City Council and the South East England Development Agency, it has been taking place in the heart of the city on a regular basis ever since.
